openclaw skills install @social-media-skills/listicle-and-roundupThe list/roundup content type — design honestly-curated, scannable, AI-citable listicles ("7 ways to X", "best tools for Y") and expert / product / link roundups. Use when someone wants a listicle, a "best of" or "top N" list, a ranked recommendation list, an expert roundup, a product/affiliate roundup, or a curated resource list. Ranked "best-of" lists are among the most-cited formats in AI search. Uses the RANKS framework. Reads brand-profile + audience-research first. The agent designs the list and frames the cuts; for roundups it drafts the contributor ask; the human secures real contributor quotes/consent and verifies product facts; WoopSocial publishes the cuts. Feeds the format writers and ai-search-optimization + social-seo. NEVER fabricates items, quotes, or rankings, or pads to a number; discloses affiliate/own-product. Distinct from carousel-writer/thread-writer, educational-content-and-how-to, data-and-original-research, and competitor-analysis.
openclaw skills install @social-media-skills/listicle-and-roundupThe list/roundup content type — right-size the premise, assemble honestly, nail every entry, keep the scroll moving, then spread it. The format writers turn it into cuts, WoopSocial publishes, and "best of" lists get engineered for AI citation.
The listicle is dismissed as lazy — and most are, because they're padded ("25 tools" with 17 of them filler) or self-serving ("best X, and we're #1"). But the honestly-ranked, specific list is one of the highest-leverage assets you can make: maximally scannable, endlessly atomizable, and disproportionately cited by AI search — the ranked "best-of" is repeatedly the single most-cited format in AI answers. Two top-1% moves separate real lists from slop. First, the count follows the genuinely-good items — a tight, honest "7 worth it" beats a padded 25, because the weakest entry sets the perceived quality of the whole. Second — the counter-intuition — the independent list compounds; the self-#1 list gets penalized. The "best of" that earns citations is the one where you're judged alongside competitors against stated criteria; the higher-leverage play is earning a placement in someone else's honest list. Curate ruthlessly, rank honestly, make every entry a real payload.

Ranked "best-of" listicles are among the most-cited AI formats (~21–22% of Google AI-Overview citations in 2026
round-ups; an arXiv/Ranqo analysis found the listicle the single largest content format; an Ahrefs analysis of
26,283 ChatGPT-cited URLs put ~43.8% on "best of" listicles — attribute, verify-quarterly). LLMs parse a list
easily because each entry is a discrete named chunk; comprehensive ~10–20-item lists tend to perform best. The
stable, top-1% insight: independent, criteria-based lists compound and get cited; self-serving "we're #1" pages
are in a penalty wave — so earning placement in others' honest lists is the higher-leverage move; and
outcome-anchored, entity-rich entries with a "Best For" tag are what AI extracts. Full figures + the

Reads first: brand-profile + audience-research. A list/roundup built on a premise people want, with a number that follows the genuinely-good items (never padded), every entry a real payload (what + why + a specific outcome-anchored detail, named entity, "Best For" tag), ordered for impact and ruthlessly scannable; assembled honestly — real vetted items ranked by stated criteria, real consented contributors for roundups, affiliate/sponsor/own-product disclosed, ranked by merit not commission, never self-#1 and never a sponsored pick disguised as independent; atomized into the right format-writer cuts and (for "best of") engineered for AI citation + refreshed on a cadence; published via WoopSocial and measured on saves/shares + clicks rather than likes; YMYL and injection-safety handled; nothing fabricated, no fake quotes, no invented rankings, no padding; and correctly distinguished from carousel-writer/thread-writer, educational-content-and-how-to, data-and-original-research, and competitor-analysis.
