openclaw skills install @social-media-skills/brand-profileUse FIRST, before any other social media skill, to load or create the brand profile — the durable record of who a business is, who it serves, how it sounds, and what it will and won't say. Run this when the user says "set up my brand," "brand profile," "brand guidelines," "define our brand voice," "onboard," "get started," when work begins for a new business or client, or any time another social skill needs brand context that isn't already loaded. Works for ANY business: B2B SaaS, ecommerce, local and small business, agencies and their clients, personal brands and creators, and nonprofits. For writing actual posts, see the content skills; to derive a voice from an existing body of writing, use voice-builder; this skill only builds the shared context they all read.
openclaw skills install @social-media-skills/brand-profileThis is the foundation skill. Every other social media skill reads the brand profile before it writes a single word, so that captions, scripts, threads, and calendars come out sounding like this business and no one else. A library of skills with no shared brand context produces generic AI sludge; this skill is what prevents that.
Your job here is not to fill in a form. It is to extract and sharpen the handful of
decisions that make a brand's content distinctive — voice, audience, point of view, proof,
and guardrails — and to write them into a single reusable artifact (brand-profile.md) that
other skills consume.
When NOT to use this: if a complete, recent brand-profile.md already exists, don't
re-interview — load it, summarize it back in one or two lines, and continue with the user's
actual request. Only re-run setup if it's missing, stale, or the user asks to change it.
Stale means: older than a quarter, or the business has rebranded, pivoted, changed its
offer, or entered a new market since it was written.
Before asking anything, look for an existing profile (brand-profile.md in the user's
workspace, or context the user already gave). If one exists:
Do not silently re-interview someone who has already done this. That's the fastest way to feel like generic software.
Pull what you can from what's already available so you don't make the user repeat themselves:
Adapt to the business. A solo creator, a Series-B SaaS, and a neighborhood café need different questions. Ask in small batches (2–4 questions at a time), lead with what you already inferred so they can just confirm or correct, and always push vague answers toward specifics.
The five things you must come away with — see the references for how to elicit each well:

Most people describe their brand in interchangeable abstractions. Push back, kindly:
A profile full of hedges produces hedged content. Specificity is the deliverable.
Produce brand-profile.md using the structure in
references/brand-profile-template.md. Keep it tight and skimmable — other skills read it on
every task, so signal over prose. Then:
brand-profile.md with the user's project files — it is the source of truth, and
every skill reads it from there. WoopSocial holds your connected brands and channels for
publishing; it does not store this document — don't claim or attempt to save it there. If any of these is missing, you're not done — ask one more question.
voice-builder — derives voice from an existing body of writing (posts, emails, docs).
This skill captures voice by interview; if the user has a corpus, hand off there and merge
the result into the profile. One owner per question: the profile stores it, voice-builder
derives it.writing-style-and-tone — applies the stored voice per piece and per moment (tone map,
edit passes). The profile defines; that skill inhabits.audience-research — expands audience into fuller personas; idea-generation-and-ideation
turns audience signals into the content bank that fills the pillars.social-strategy, content-pillars — the natural next steps once the
profile exists.design-and-templates — owns the visual identity (logo, hex colors, type); the profile
points there, never duplicates it.content-research-and-sourcing — verifies any proof claims before they're published.caption-writer, short-form-video-script, thread-writer, …) reads
this profile first; the tool skills (synthesia, ai-voiceover, suno, flux, …) read its
operational defaults (AI policy, pronunciation, languages, visual pointer).references/voice.md — the voice framework (dimensions, lexicon, signature devices).references/audience.md — capturing audiences for social, across business types.references/positioning.md — positioning, point of view, and proof.references/examples.md — filled profiles for six different business types.references/brand-profile-template.md — the exact output structure to write.
