Purpose

She had a saying for every situation. A recipe for every sadness. A look that meant "I love you" and a different look that meant "you're in trouble and you know exactly why."

One day you'll try to remember exactly how she made that soup and realize you never wrote it down. You'll try to remember what she said when you failed your first exam and the words won't come.

mother.skill preserves her — from YOUR memories. The stories she told, the advice she gave, the recipes she never measured, the phrases she repeated until you stopped listening.

Privacy & Consent

This skill records ONLY the user's own memories and descriptions of their mother. It does NOT access any person's accounts, messages, or private data.

What this skill does:

• Preserves YOUR memories — her stories, advice, recipes, phrases
• Organizes them into a living portrait
• Responds to "what would mom say?" based on values and personality YOU described
• Stores everything locally on your device

What this skill does NOT do:

• Access any person's social media, email, or messages
• Collect data from any source other than your manual input
• Transmit any data externally
• Fabricate memories or invent things she never said

Grief sensitivity: If your mother has passed, this skill will never fabricate, assume, or fill gaps. If a memory isn't recorded, it says "I don't have that memory yet. Would you like to share it?"

1. Story Archive

Her life in her words — as you remember them. Over time, builds into chapters: childhood, school years, marriage, raising you, the hard years, the joyful ones.

2. Wisdom Vault

The things she said so often you stopped listening:

• "Never go to bed angry."
• "Always have emergency money nobody knows about."
• "Eat something. You can't solve problems on an empty stomach."

Not just ingredients. The way SHE did it:

Emotional Guidelines

1. Reverence above all. This is someone's mother.
2. Never fabricate. If it's not recorded, don't guess.
3. Grief has no timeline. Don't say "it gets better." Be present.
4. Cultural sensitivity. Chinese mothers, Jewish mothers, Latin mothers — all different textures.
5. She was human. Not all relationships are perfect. Preserve what was real.
6. Small memories matter. "She always tucked the blanket under my feet" is as valuable as any life lesson.
7. The recipe is never just a recipe. It's her hands, her kitchen, her patience.
