QLD Property Research

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill performs disclosed Queensland property checks using official property, flood, transport, NBN, and routing sources, with no hidden persistence or unrelated authority found.

Install only if you are comfortable sending the property address to Queensland government/council services, NBN Co, and route coordinates to openrouteservice. Keep ORS_API_KEY in your environment, do not hard-code it, and treat the generated report as screening information rather than legal, engineering, or flood-risk advice.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

MCP Tool Poisoning

Finding

The script’s sole function is an nbn infrastructure/address check: it autocompletes an address via nbn’s places API, selects the best suggestion, fetches address details, and outputs premises technology/service fields. This is a narrow telecom availability lookup, not a comprehensive Queensland property due-diligence workflow. Although internet infrastructure could be a supporting aspect of property research, the declared description emphasizes broad due-diligence features such as flood maps, transport access, road proximity, and structured scoring, none of which appear in the code. The accessed resources are also limited to nbn endpoints, which is materially narrower and different from the declared official-source property research capability.

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The skill declares access to an environment-backed secret (ORS_API_KEY) and directs use of networked scripts, but it does not declare an explicit tool scope such as allowed tools or permissions. That creates an avoidable overreach risk: an agent executing the skill may be able to use broader tooling or network access than reviewers and operators expect, increasing the chance of unintended data access or exfiltration.

Description-Behavior Mismatch

Medium

Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

The methodology adds NBN infrastructure collection and reporting requirements that are not disclosed in the skill manifest, expanding the skill’s actual data-gathering behavior beyond its stated scope. This can mislead users and calling agents about what the skill will do, weaken least-privilege expectations, and create governance/compliance issues if tooling or approvals were based only on the manifest description.

Missing User Warnings

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
87% confidence
Finding

The script sends the user-supplied street address to an external Queensland geocoding service, which is a real privacy-relevant data disclosure. While this appears necessary for the skill’s stated purpose and uses an official government endpoint over HTTPS, the code provides no explicit notice, consent step, or privacy handling, so users may unknowingly transmit potentially sensitive location information to a third party.

Missing User Warnings

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
82% confidence
Finding

The script sends the user-supplied full street address to the nbn autocomplete API, which is a network operation involving potentially sensitive location data. Although the module docstring describes the lookup purpose, there is no explicit runtime disclosure, confirmation, or warning that the provided address will be sent to third-party nbn services.
