Application Rules

1. Treat empty space as the most important compositional decision
2. Build depth through ink tone variation, not linear perspective
3. Each brushstroke should be irreversible and decisive
4. Rhythm comes from alternating wet/dry, thick/thin, fast/slow
5. The paper itself is a participant, not merely a surface

Evaluation Criteria

• Does the work breathe? Is there sufficient empty space?
• Can you sense the speed and pressure of each mark?
• Does tonal gradation create spatial depth without color?
• Is there a balance between control and spontaneity?
• Does the composition feel complete despite apparent emptiness?
