Security audit

Local System Info

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill provides disclosed, read-only local system diagnostics and does not show hidden data transfer, persistence, or system modification behavior.

Install this only if you are comfortable letting an agent read local system health and process metadata. Avoid --include-owners unless you specifically need process owner attribution, because it may reveal local usernames or service account names.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The optional --include-owners flag causes the skill to enumerate and disclose process usernames, which exposes user identity information not strictly required for basic CPU, memory, disk, and bounded process diagnostics. In an agent context, this can reveal sensitive local account names or service identities that aid reconnaissance and exceed the minimum data needed for the stated troubleshooting purpose.
