What This Skill Does

Generates a complete Brand Voice & Style Guide — the foundation document that makes all your marketing copy sound consistent, recognizable, and on-brand across every channel and format.

Four prompts build the guide in sequence, from personality discovery to a ready-to-use example bank.

Prompts

Prompt 1 — Brand Voice Discovery & Personality Profile

Input: Business name, industry, target audience, 3 adjectives you'd use to describe the brand, 3 brands you admire (can be outside your industry), 3 brands that feel "wrong" for you.
Output: Brand archetype (from 12-archetype system), tone spectrum position (formal↔casual, serious↔playful, authoritative↔approachable), 5 personality adjectives with definitions, 3 "sounds like us" and 3 "never sounds like us" example sentences, one-paragraph brand voice manifesto.

Prompt 2 — Writing Style Rules & Grammar Guide

Input: Brand Voice Profile from Prompt 1 + any existing style preferences (Oxford comma yes/no, emoji policy, profanity policy, etc.).
Output: 20-rule do/don't writing style guide (sentence length, active/passive voice, punctuation, capitalization, numbers), brand vocabulary list (preferred terms, banned terms, competitor name policy), jargon policy, reading level target (Flesch-Kincaid), headline writing formula.

Prompt 3 — Platform Adaptation Guide

Input: Brand Voice Profile + which platforms the brand uses (website, email, LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, customer support, internal docs).
Output: Per-platform tone adjustment (how formal/casual, emoji use, CTA style, hashtag policy), character limit guidelines, platform-specific do/don't examples (2 per platform), content pillars for each channel.

Prompt 4 — Brand Voice Example Bank

Input: Brand Voice Profile + 5–10 sample pieces of existing copy (email subject lines, social posts, product descriptions, support replies — whatever the brand has).
Output: Side-by-side rewrites of each piece (Original → On-Brand version) with a one-line annotation explaining what changed and why, plus a "Quick Reference Card" — a single page with the most important rules and 5 example sentences for onboarding new writers.

Who This Is For

  • Startups getting consistent for the first time
  • Agencies building brand guides for clients
  • Solopreneurs who sound different every time they post
  • Marketing teams onboarding new writers or contractors
  • E-commerce brands running ads + email + social simultaneously

Why It Matters

Every other marketing skill produces better output when built on a brand voice foundation. Ad copy sounds consistent. Email sequences feel like one person wrote them. Social posts build recognition. Without a style guide, scale = chaos.
