Writing Plans

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a planning-only skill that tells the agent how to write detailed implementation plans, with no hidden code, network access, credential use, or automatic execution.

Install this if you want agents to produce very detailed implementation plans before coding. Expect it to write plan files under docs/plans and to suggest follow-on execution workflows; review those generated plans and execution choices before allowing code changes or commits.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The manifest description says to use the skill whenever there is 'a spec or requirements for a multi-step task, before touching code,' which is broad guidance that could overlap with many ordinary planning situations. It does not provide clear exclusion conditions or negative examples to distinguish when this skill should not be invoked versus other planning or implementation skills.
