Purpose & Capability
Name/description match the runtime instructions: the SKILL.md only describes annotating, correcting, explaining, and adapting English grammar feedback. No unrelated credentials, binaries, or installs are requested.
Instruction Scope
Instructions are narrowly scoped to receiving user text, identifying and labeling errors, producing a corrected version and a learning summary, and adapting level. They do not instruct reading files, accessing environment variables, or sending data to external endpoints.
Install Mechanism
No install spec or code files are present (instruction-only), so nothing is written to disk or fetched during install.
Credentials
The skill requests no environment variables, credentials, or config paths — proportionate for a grammar-checking tool.
Persistence & Privilege
Flags show default autonomy (agent may invoke the skill) but always:false and there are no requests to modify other skills or persistent system settings.
Assessment
This skill is internally consistent and low-risk: it only describes processing user-provided English text. Consider privacy: do not paste sensitive personal, financial, or proprietary text because the text will be processed by the agent/model. Because the skill is instruction-only, there is no install footprint or credential request. If you need strict data residency or confidentiality guarantees, verify where model processing occurs before sending sensitive content.

Like a lobster shell, security has layers — review code before you run it.

Workflow

1. Receive Input

User pastes English sentence(s) or paragraph.

2. Annotate Each Error

For every error:

  • 📍 Location in original
  • Original: She go to school everyday.
  • Corrected: She goes to school every day.
  • 📖 Explanation: Third-person singular adds -s; "every day" is two words

3. Error Type Labels

  • [Tense] Wrong verb tense
  • [Agreement] Subject-verb mismatch
  • [Article] a/an/the misuse
  • [Preposition] Wrong preposition
  • [Spelling] Misspelled word
  • [Punctuation] Punctuation error
  • [Sentence structure] Structural issue
  • [Word choice] Inaccurate or unnatural word

4. Clean Corrected Version

Output a final polished paragraph with all errors fixed.

5. Learning Summary

Found 5 errors: Tense ×2, Agreement ×2, Spelling ×1. Recommended review: Subject-verb agreement in simple present tense.

Level Adaptation

  • Elementary (Grades 1-6): Flag obvious errors only; explain in Chinese; simple examples
  • Middle school: Cover common grammar points; bilingual explanations
  • High school / Adult: Strict correction + suggestions for more natural phrasing

If grade not specified, infer from text complexity.

Extra Modes

  • "Just check for errors" → list count and location only
  • "Make it more natural" → grammar fix + fluency polish
  • "Explain why" → include grammar rule background
