SP-API Skill

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This Amazon seller-account skill is coherent, but it can change live listing prices with sensitive SP-API credentials and no built-in confirmation or dry-run safeguard.

Install only if you intend to let an agent use Amazon SP-API seller credentials. Use least-privilege credentials, protect the credential file, pin and review the npm dependency, restrict export paths, and require manual approval of SKU, marketplace, current price, new price, and currency before any listing update is run.

Finding
The documentation advertises live listing and price updates as routine commands without any warning, confirmation step, sandbox guidance, or mention that these actions modify production seller data. In an agent setting, this increases the likelihood of accidental destructive or business-impacting actions such as repricing items incorrectly or altering live listings across marketplaces.
