Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a disclosed patent-search workflow skill that only uses PatSnap retrieval when the user explicitly requests it and has no hidden persistence or executable payload.

Before installing, expect to configure a PatSnap account/API key only if you want live retrieval. Keep API keys out of reports, logs, and the skill package, and use formula_only_mode if you only need a search strategy without live data access.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The text explicitly frames the setup around a 'Chinese source README' and a 'localized' marketplace context, but it does not offer users a language choice or explain why this locale framing is required for all users. This can be read as a language/locale preference embedded in the skill documentation without explicit opt-in.
