Tung Shing Almanac (通勝) — Chinese Almanac Query

Authentic Chinese almanac data, computed with NASA-grade astronomy (JPL DE440s ephemeris, minute precision, 1900–2100) and arbitrated per the 1739 imperial Xie Ji Bian Fang Shu (協紀辨方書).

Auspicious Date Picker (bilingual, transparent scoring)

For "pick me a wedding date in October / 帮我算十月领证的好日子" style requests, use the picker — it combines the engine shortlist with transparent itemized scoring, hard-veto fixed inauspicious days (杨公忌 / 三娘煞 / 十恶大败 / 四离四绝), patron-zodiac clash checks, per-day lucky hours, and a deliverable date-selection document (择吉文书). Output is bilingual (中英对照).

Events: wedding/婚嫁, moving-house/入宅, grand-opening/开业, renovation/装修动土, signing-contracts/签约, travel/出行, starting-a-new-job/入职, c-section/剖腹产, plus deep-only burial/安葬, ancestor-worship/祭祀.

--birth matches the patron's zodiac against each day (hard-veto 冲/害, bonus 三合/六合).
Scoring split: in fast mode the /auspicious engine score (0-5, four-tier arbitration) IS the primary score — the picker does NOT re-score officer/belt/gods locally. Local additions are only what the engine cannot know: patron-zodiac adjustments (+15 sanhe/liuhe, veto chong/hai), fixed inauspicious days, and lucky-hour enrichment. Each candidate reports engine_score + local_adjustment separately (JSON) — no double counting.
Every candidate carries itemized reasons, e.g. 引擎四层仲裁评分：5/5 · Open officer, yellow belt · Premier Open (开) Day Officer.
burial / ancestor-worship auto-switch to day-by-day deep scanning (full local scoring, since no engine shortlist exists for them).
Requires only Python 3 stdlib; results cached 6h in scripts/.cache/.
