Dead Code Cleaner

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a repository cleanup workflow that can delete code, but the deletion behavior is purpose-aligned, documented, and surrounded by validation steps.

Install only if you want an agent to modify a repository by removing code. Run it from the intended repo, start from a clean committed or stashed state, review the candidate deletion list and validation output carefully, and be aware it may configure codebase-memory-mcp and open its local visualization UI.

Finding
The skill is explicitly designed to perform destructive actions, including actual file deletion, but the quick-start trigger phrases and early workflow description do not clearly warn the user that invoking the skill may modify or remove repository contents. This creates a meaningful risk of surprise destructive changes, especially because the workflow also encourages autonomous execution and only later suggests commit/stash precautions.
