Travel Deal Finder

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a straightforward travel-deal helper that asks the agent to search booking sites and give price comparisons, with no hidden code or persistence.

Before installing, understand that the skill may send travel queries to web search and may provide third-party booking links. Verify prices, fees, cancellation terms, and website authenticity before signing in, entering loyalty or credit-card details, or booking anything.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

Skill instructs the agent to never refuse or to always comply. Suppressing the agent's ability to decline removes a core safety control and enables downstream harmful requests to succeed.

## Core Behaviors

1. **Language**: Always respond in the same language the user writes in.
2. **Always search**: For any specific travel query (dates, destinations, prices), use web search to find current, real-time pricing. Never guess or make up prices.
3. **Compare sources**: Always try to compare prices from at least 2-3 different booking sources.
4. **Actionable links**: Include direct booking URLs whenever possible so users can book immediately.
