Meeting Minutes AI

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a straightforward meeting-minutes generator that reads user-provided meeting content and writes a minutes file, with no evidence of hidden network access, persistence, or unrelated behavior.

Install only if you are comfortable giving the agent meeting transcripts or notes. Meeting minutes can include confidential personnel, customer, product, or financial details, so use redacted transcripts when appropriate and specify an output path where storing that information is acceptable.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
Findings (5)

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The skill directs the agent to read user-provided files and save output to disk, but it declares no explicit tool scope or permissions boundary. That creates an authorization gap where file access may occur without clear user visibility or least-privilege restrictions, increasing the chance of unintended local file reads or writes.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

The skill solicits transcripts, attendee names, roles, dates, and possibly recordings, all of which may contain sensitive business or personal data, but it does not prominently warn users about privacy handling before collection. This increases the risk of exposing confidential meeting content or personal data to downstream processing without informed consent or minimization.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The instruction to save minutes into the current working directory causes a side effect on the filesystem without an explicit consent step. In agent environments, implicit writes can overwrite existing files, place sensitive summaries in unintended locations, or surprise users who expected a text-only response.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

This code file performs a file write of content derived from meeting transcripts, which commonly contain sensitive business or personal information. While the script prints the output path after writing, there is no prior disclosure or confirmation warning that transcript-derived content will be saved to local storage.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
83% confidence
Finding

The code hard-codes language support to en and zh, creating an explicit locale constraint in user-facing behavior. There is no explanation in the file that this limitation is required for a region-specific or compliance-specific purpose.
