Security audit

contribution-analysis

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a benign statistics helper; the main caution is that its example writes a local CSV containing only the dominant factor.

Install is reasonable for local statistical analysis. Before using the sample code, change the output filename or add an existence check if output.csv may already matter, and expand the CSV writing logic if you need every factor contribution rather than only the largest one.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The manifest says the skill should calculate the relative contribution of different factors, which implies producing contributions for all factors. In the documented code, contributions are computed for multiple categories but the final output persists only the maximum contributor, discarding the rest of the decomposition result.

Finding

This markdown file contains example code that writes to a local file, which can affect user data if output.csv already exists. The surrounding skill description does not warn that using the example will create or overwrite a file.
