Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a small Git commit-time charting helper whose repository access and output file behavior are disclosed and aligned with its purpose.

Before using it, choose the repository, branch scope, date range, output path, and timezone deliberately. The default timezone is Asia/Shanghai and saved chart files may overwrite an existing file at the selected path.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Vague Triggers

Medium

Confidence

Finding

The trigger description uses broad phrases like 'analyze commits' and 'show commit distribution,' which can overlap with general repository-analysis requests and cause the skill to activate when a more appropriate tool or safer default behavior was intended. Over-broad activation increases the chance of unintended repository access or misleading routing, especially in environments where skills are auto-selected from natural language.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
98% confidence
Finding

Using a default timezone of Asia/Shanghai without user opt-in can silently alter how commit activity is interpreted, producing misleading charts and incorrect inferences about developer behavior or work hours. While this is not code-execution dangerous, it can create privacy and accuracy issues because time-based analytics are sensitive to timezone assumptions.
