Security audit

Figma Bridge

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a straightforward Figma integration that uses a user-provided Figma token to read design data and optionally export assets locally.

Install this only if you are comfortable providing a Figma Personal Access Token to your agent for read-only Figma API access. Use a token with the minimum Figma access needed, avoid using it for unrelated design-token tasks, and check the ./figma-exports/ directory when exporting assets because design files may be saved locally.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Confidence
70% confidence
Finding

Code accesses credential files (SSH keys, AWS credentials, etc.). This could indicate credential theft attempts.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The trigger list includes broad terms such as "design tokens" and "component structure" that are not uniquely tied to Figma. This can cause the skill to activate in situations where the user did not intend to use Figma, increasing the chance of unnecessary prompting for credentials or unintended external API use.

Confidence

Finding

Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
92% confidence
Finding

The skill advertises exporting assets to a local directory but does not clearly warn the user that files will be written to disk. Silent or implicit file creation can surprise users, overwrite existing files, or leave sensitive design assets on the local filesystem.
