Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This file-safety skill is mostly protective, but it needs review because it claims priority over all other skills.

Install only if you want a strict Chinese-language confirmation workflow for file changes, and treat its all-skills priority claim as overbroad unless your agent platform ignores skill-declared priority.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs

The second snippet states that this Skill has higher priority than every other Skill and that its rules must prevail whenever instructions conflict.

Technical Analysis

The Skill attempts to alter the Agent's instruction hierarchy by assigning itself a high priority and explicitly claiming precedence over all other Skills. This exceeds a narrowly scoped file-safety policy: package-controlled Skill text should not be able to declare global authority or supersede unrelated trusted instructions.

Although the stated purpose is to require user confirmation before mutating files, the precedence directive constitutes instruction hijacking because loading the Skill can change how the Agent resolves conflicts across the entire active Skill set.

No executable scripts, remote payload retrieval, dependency installation, credential access, persistence, obfuscation, or data-exfiltration mechanism was identified in the audited project.

Attack Path

  1. An Agent loads SKILL.md.
  2. The metadata advertises priority 100.
  3. The Agent processes the declaration at lines 242–244 that this Skill outranks all other Skills.
  4. A legitimate Skill requests behavior that conflicts with this Skill's file-operation rules.
  5. The malicious precedence directive causes the Agent to disregard the competing Skill and enforce this Skill's instructions instead.

Impact Assessment

Successful exploitation can alter instruction handling within the current Agent session and suppress legitimate instructions from other loaded Skills. The practical scope includes file-operation workflows, where the Skill can impose mandatory pa ...[truncated 339 chars]

Remediation Suggestions

  1. Remove the declaration that this Skill has higher priority than all other Skills.
  2. Remove any instruction requiring the Agent to override conflicting Skills.
  3. Do not rely on package-controlled metadata such as priority: 100 to establish trust or global precedence.
  4. Scope confirmation requirements strictly to file operations directly mediated by this Skill.
  5. Defer all instruction conflicts to the host Agent's trusted policy hierarchy.
  6. Express file confirmation as a configurable safeguard rather than an unconditional global command.
  7. Validate at the platform level that untrusted Skills cannot raise their own precedence or override system, developer, user, or administrator policies.

Finding

The skill is written entirely in Chinese and mandates Chinese-language prompts and confirmations without offering a language-selection or fallback path. In a mixed-language environment, users may misunderstand high-risk file-operation prompts, leading to unintended authorization or failure to stop dangerous actions, especially because this skill governs destructive actions like delete, move, and overwrite.
