Searching Assistant

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a simple search-orchestration skill with no code, installs, persistence, credential access, or hidden data handling.

Before installing, understand that this skill encourages the agent to fan out a search request to multiple search agents, up to 8 subtasks. It does not add executable code or persistence, but users who prefer simpler single-agent searches may find its orchestration more expansive than needed.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Finding

The description includes Chinese-only role wording '(搜索组组长)' as part of the required instruction set, which imposes a specific language/locale element without indicating user choice or opt-in. The policy allows locale constraints only when explicitly optional or clearly justified, which is not present here.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

The main instruction block again embeds Chinese-only role wording '(搜索组组长)' in mandatory operational guidance, with no indication that the user can choose language or locale. This creates a natural-language policy issue because the skill appears to enforce a locale-specific presentation by default.
