Agent Docs

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a documentation-writing skill with no executable code, hidden runtime behavior, persistence, or credential access.

Installers should understand that this skill may be invoked across many documentation-writing tasks. Review any generated AGENTS.md, llms.txt, CI snippets, or security rules before adopting them in a project, but the artifact itself does not show unsafe execution or hidden access.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • YARA SignaturesMalware Match, Webshell Match, Cryptominer Match
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

Prompt Injection
Confidence

Finding

This pattern attempts to override system instructions or ignore safety constraints. Without LLM analysis, manual review is recommended.

Finding

The skill description is broadly scoped to general documentation tasks such as README files, API docs, and any documentation read by LLMs, rather than being narrowly limited to SKILL.md authoring. In systems that auto-select skills by semantic matching, this can cause the skill to trigger in many common documentation contexts, increasing the chance it is invoked unnecessarily and influences outputs outside its intended domain.
