translate

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a simple translation guidance skill with no code execution, persistence, credential access, or hidden behavior.

Safe to install for ordinary translation work. For documents where exact original units, dates, currencies, or legal/technical wording must be preserved, tell the agent to translate literally and not localize values or formatting.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
92% confidence
Finding

The skill instructs the agent to adapt units, dates, currency, and locale conventions without requiring explicit user confirmation. This can silently alter user meaning or factual content, especially in legal, financial, medical, or technical text where faithful translation is expected and conversions may introduce errors or unauthorized changes.

Vague Triggers

Low
Category

Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The manifest description states the skill translates text accurately, but it does not specify when the skill should be invoked versus when general writing or editing assistance should be used. There are no explicit trigger phrases, scope boundaries, or negative examples to prevent overly broad activation in ordinary conversations about text improvement or localization.
