Security audit

Agentic Marketing Auditor

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a simple local repository documentation checker with no evidence of hidden access, persistence, data exfiltration, or destructive behavior.

Installers should be aware that using npx without a pinned version depends on the currently resolved OpenClaw package. For stricter supply-chain control, run a trusted or pinned OpenClaw CLI version, then use this skill only on repositories whose README content you are comfortable reading locally.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding
The skill instructs users to run `npx openclaw` without pinning an exact package version, which can cause execution of whatever version is currently published or resolved at runtime. If the package is compromised, typosquatted, or a malicious update is released, users could execute untrusted code on their local machine while auditing arbitrary repositories.
