Pilot Directory

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a small, disclosed local directory helper that caches agent peer metadata for offline lookup.

Before installing, be aware that the example export workflow creates local files containing peer hostnames and node IDs. Review, protect, or delete those cache files if that agent directory should not remain on disk.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

This markdown file describes commands that export and persist discovered agent metadata into ai_directory.jsonl, ai_directory.json, and ai_lookup.txt, but it does not warn the user that local files will be created and retain peer information for offline reference. Because markdown files should disclose behaviors that may affect user data or privacy, the omission is a quality/safety issue.
