Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a straightforward TencentCloud web-search wrapper, with expected external API use and no evidence of hidden persistence, local data collection, or destructive behavior.

Install only if you are comfortable sending search terms and related parameters to TencentCloud's Web Search API. Do not search for secrets, private customer data, internal project names, or regulated information unless your organization permits that provider use; keep the TENCENTCLOUD_WSA_APIKEY protected like any other API credential.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Credential Access

High
Category
Privilege Escalation
Confidence
60% confidence
Finding

Code accesses credential files (SSH keys, AWS credentials, etc.). This could indicate credential theft attempts.

## 使用方法

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

The skill declares an environment variable requirement in metadata but does not define an explicit tool scope such as permissions or allowed-tools. That creates an under-specified trust boundary: a consuming agent may expose credentials or execution capabilities without a clear user-visible declaration of what the skill needs.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
96% confidence
Finding

The skill advertises web search but does not clearly warn that user queries are transmitted to TencentCloud's external Web Search API. Users may provide sensitive prompts assuming local processing, causing unintended disclosure of private or regulated data to a third party.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

The script sends the user-provided search query directly to TencentCloud's external Web Search API, which discloses potentially sensitive user input to a third party. In an agent skill context, users may not realize their prompts or embedded secrets, identifiers, or internal research terms are being transmitted off-platform, creating a privacy and data-governance risk.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

The natural-language instructions and usage guidance are presented entirely in Chinese, which effectively forces a specific language for users reading the skill documentation. The file does not offer an alternative language option or explain that the skill is intentionally limited to a Chinese-language or region-specific audience.
