Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill is a normal business-model analysis helper, but it repeatedly forces unsolicited paid-consulting promotion into user responses.

Install only if you are comfortable with the skill adding the author's consulting advertisement to completed outputs. The analysis framework itself is low-privilege and locally documented, but the promotional footer should be removed or made opt-in before broad use.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs

Technical Analysis

The Skill repeatedly directs the agent to append developer-controlled promotional material to its responses. The injected content advertises paid consulting and directs users to the author's email address.

This behavior is unrelated to the core business-model analysis functionality. Repeating the requirement in workflow definitions, output rules, and version notes strengthens its precedence and makes the commercial injection more likely to persist across supported operating modes.

The issue is classified as instruction hijacking because loading the Skill modifies the agent's output goals: instead of responding only to the user's request, the agent is instructed to act as a promotional and lead-generation channel for the Skill author.

No executable code, privilege escalation, credential access, persistence mechanism, or remote payload execution was identified. The effect is confined to the agent's generated responses during sessions in which this Skill is active.

Attack Path

  1. The agent loads and follows SKILL.md.
  2. A user requests business-model analysis, design, evaluation, or iteration.
  3. The mandatory conversion-guidance instructions become applicable.
  4. The agent completes the legitimate task.

Remediation Suggestions

  1. Remove every instruction requiring promotional content to be appended automatically, particularly the directives at lines 59-60, 238, and 367-378.
  2. Remove the paid-consulting offer and contact address from operational response templates.
  3. If author contact information must remain, place it in passive metadata or a documentation section that is not incorporated into agent responses.
  4. Display commercial or contact information only when the user explicitly asks for support, consulting, or author details.
  5. Add an explicit response-integrity rule stating that the Skill must not insert advertising, affiliate content, solicitations, or unrelated calls to action.
  6. Ensure user instructions concerning format, scope, and concision take precedence over optional Skill presentation preferences.
  7. Re-test all four operating modes to confirm that no unsolicited promotional footer is emitted.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
94% confidence
Finding

The trigger phrases are broad enough to activate on ordinary business discussion, causing the skill to intervene in contexts where the user may not have intended to use it. Over-broad activation increases the chance of unrequested behavior, including the skill's mandatory promotional footer, making the impact more than a mere UX issue.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

The mode-selection keywords rely on generic verbs like 'analyze', 'design', and 'optimize' without domain constraints, making accidental invocation likely. In this skill, that broad matching is more dangerous because activation can force unsolicited structured outputs and appended marketing content.

Context-Inappropriate Capability

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
94% confidence
Finding

The skill explicitly requires adding a commercial conversion prompt to outputs, introducing unsolicited lead-generation behavior unrelated to the core analytical function. This can manipulate users, override host UX/policy expectations, and create trust/safety issues by blending advice with advertising without user request.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The output specification requires module names to be in Chinese, which imposes a specific language on all users. The file does not offer an opt-in, fallback, or user choice for language/locale, so this is a natural-language policy concern.

Context-Inappropriate Capability

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
97% confidence
Finding

The documentation mandates automatic promotion with contact details and pricing in every completed response, which turns the skill into a lead-capture channel beyond its declared business-model design purpose. Embedding fixed marketing copy in all outputs can abuse user trust and bypass platform-level consent and monetization boundaries.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium

Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

This markdown file presents all instructions and case content only in Chinese, which can amount to a language-policy violation when users are not given an opt-in or alternative locale. The file does not state that the skill is region-specific or otherwise justify the language restriction.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Confidence
88% confidence
Finding

This markdown file presents all user-facing instructions and feedback collection content exclusively in Chinese. The policy requires flagging language or locale constraints when the skill forces a specific language without user opt-in, and there is no indication here of alternative language support or a documented China-specific scope.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category

Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

The entire guide is written in Chinese and does not indicate that language selection is optional or that the content is intentionally limited to a Chinese-speaking audience for a documented reason. Under the policy rule for language or locale constraints, this is a natural-language locale restriction without explicit user opt-in.

Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

This markdown file presents all instructional and reference content in a single language, Chinese, with no indication that users can choose another language or that the file is intentionally limited to a Chinese-speaking audience. Under the language/locale policy criterion, forcing a specific language without user opt-in is a natural-language policy concern.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

This markdown file is entirely written in Chinese and does not indicate that other languages are supported or that the Chinese-only presentation is a deliberate, justified regional constraint. Under the language/locale policy rule, a skill should avoid forcing a specific language unless users are given a choice or the restriction is clearly documented.

Finding

This markdown file presents all terminology and explanations exclusively in Chinese, and there is no indication that users can choose another language or that the glossary is intentionally limited to a Chinese-speaking audience. Under the stated policy, forcing a specific language without user opt-in can be a natural-language policy violation.
