image-convert

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a straightforward image conversion cheat sheet, but users should avoid its overwrite-style examples unless they intentionally want to replace files.

Install only if you want quick command examples for local image and GIF conversion. When using it, have the agent write to a new filename or backup first, especially for examples using force flags, in-place optimizers, or matching input and output names.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill includes commands that can overwrite output files without prompting, such as ffmpeg with -y, pngquant with --force, and use of identical input/output paths in metadata stripping examples. In an agent setting, these instructions can cause silent data loss or file corruption if applied to important files or if output paths are derived incorrectly from user input.
