Security audit

Website to Shopify Liquid section

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill clearly generates a Shopify section through a disclosed API and optionally saves it into a local theme, with no hidden execution or persistence.

Before installing, understand that the skill sends the target URL and requested section to MiroMiro using your MIROMIRO_API_KEY and may create a .liquid file in a local Shopify theme repo. Review the generated Liquid, confirm the destination filename, avoid overwriting existing sections unintentionally, and inspect the result before running shopify theme push or publishing it.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill explicitly tells the agent to write a generated .liquid file into sections/<name>.liquid in a local Shopify theme repository, but it does not require an explicit confirmation step before making that filesystem change. In an agent setting, this can cause unreviewed code from an external service to be persisted directly into a live project, increasing the risk of unintended modifications, supply-chain style insertion, or accidental overwrite of existing theme code.
