Purpose & Capability
The name/description (stock analysis, comparisons, structured notes) match the SKILL.md content. The skill requests no binaries, env vars, or installs — appropriate for a prose playbook.
Instruction Scope
The SKILL.md provides a high-level analysis workflow (gather public data, score dimensions, write conclusions). It does not instruct reading local files, using unexpected credentials, or contacting particular external endpoints, but the wording 'gather public data' gives the agent discretion to fetch web sources — expected for research but worth noting.
Install Mechanism
No install spec and no code files are present. Because this is instruction-only, nothing is written to disk and there are no third-party downloads to review.
Credentials
The skill declares no required environment variables, credentials, or config paths. There is nothing disproportionate requested for its stated purpose.
Persistence & Privilege
Flags show default behavior (not always: true) and autonomous invocation is allowed by platform default. The skill does not request permanent presence or system modifications.
Assessment
This skill is a safe, instruction-only checklist for researching public market assets and does not ask for secrets or install code. Before enabling: (1) note the source is unknown — prefer skills with a verifiable publisher if supply-chain provenance matters; (2) avoid pasting private account statements or credentials into the agent; (3) if you want deterministic data sources, tell the agent which APIs/sites to use and require citations; and (4) remember this is research/education only, not investment advice or order execution.

Like a lobster shell, security has layers — review code before you run it.

Stock Analysis

This skill is a research playbook for market analysis. It does not include a custom CLI, broker integration, or hidden installer.

When to use

  • You need a quick structured read on a stock or crypto asset.
  • You want to compare multiple tickers.
  • You want a repeatable checklist for portfolio reviews, dividend checks, or trend analysis.

Analysis workflow

  1. Start with the objective. Decide whether you are reviewing a long-term thesis, short-term reaction, dividend profile, or relative comparison.
  2. Gather public data. Price action, volume, trend, major news, earnings dates, valuation, and dividend metrics when relevant.
  3. Score the asset by dimension. Momentum, valuation, balance-sheet quality, growth, volatility, market context, event risk, and thesis durability.
  4. Write the conclusion. Summarize the key drivers, the main risks, and what would invalidate the view.

Useful output format

  • Ticker and market
  • Why it is being reviewed
  • Bull case
  • Bear case
  • Key metrics
  • Near-term catalysts
  • Decision for the watchlist or portfolio

Guardrails

  • Separate facts from interpretation.
  • Cite the data source you used when numbers matter.
  • Do not imply real-time or automated alerts unless they were actually configured elsewhere.
  • This skill is for research and education, not investment advice or order execution.
