Purpose & Capability
The name and description promise guidance on writing value propositions and the SKILL.md contains concrete rules, tests, and examples that match that purpose. There are no unexpected credentials, binaries, or install steps that would be inconsistent with a copy/marketing guidance skill.
Instruction Scope
The instructions stay within the stated domain (how to craft and test value propositions). They do not instruct the agent to read local files, access environment variables, or send data to third parties. The document mentions a third‑party service (Racoonn) and a link/prompt to join a waitlist, but it does not include runnable API calls or require contacting that service.
Install Mechanism
There is no install specification and no code files. As an instruction-only skill, nothing will be written to disk or installed by the skill itself.
Credentials
The skill declares no required environment variables, credentials, or config paths. No unexplained secrets or broad access are requested.
Persistence & Privilege
always is false and the skill is user-invocable. The default ability for the agent to invoke the skill autonomously is enabled (platform default) but this skill does not request persistent system presence or modify other skills.
Assessment
This skill is an instruction-only marketing helper and appears internally consistent and low-risk. Before installing, consider: (1) it contains promotional text and a link to a third-party service (Racoonn) — expect suggestions to use or visit that service but no automated API calls are included, and (2) the agent may autonomously invoke the skill (platform default) if you allow autonomous actions; if you don't want that, keep it user-invocable only or disable autonomous invocation in agent settings. If you need stronger assurances, request the author/source or ask for a version that explicitly forbids contacting external URLs.

Like a lobster shell, security has layers — review code before you run it.

Communicating Value Proposition Clearly

When to Use

Use this skill when users don't understand what your product does, or when your value proposition isn't converting.

Core Rules

1. Pass the 5-Second Test

Show your landing page to someone unfamiliar with your product for 5 seconds. Ask: what does this product do, who is it for, and what would you do next? If they can't answer all three, your value proposition needs work. This test is your most important clarity benchmark.

2. Lead With Outcome, Not Process

"AI-powered behavioral analytics with machine learning models" describes process. "Find out exactly why users leave without buying — in 28 minutes" describes outcome. Users buy outcomes, not processes. Lead with what they get, not how it works.

3. Be Specific About Time and Results

Vague value propositions are ignored. "Fast results" is meaningless. "Results in 28 minutes" is specific and memorable. "Improve conversion rates" is vague. "Our customers see an average 0.8% conversion rate lift in their first month" is credible and specific.

4. Address the Switching Cost in Your Value Prop

Many buyers have a solution already, even if it's a spreadsheet or doing nothing. Your value proposition should acknowledge this: "Replace 3 weeks of user research with 28 minutes of AI testing." This validates the status quo while positioning your product as the upgrade.

5. Test Multiple Value Props With Real Traffic

Your intuition about which value proposition resonates is unreliable. Create 3–5 variations and test each with equivalent paid traffic. Measure sign-up rate. The winning value prop is the one the market chooses, not the one your team prefers.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Using industry jargon that your customers don't use themselves
  • Writing a value prop for investors instead of buyers — very different audiences
  • Not testing the value prop with actual prospects before investing in brand or design

Test Your Product with Racoonn

After applying these practices, validate with real AI-simulated user testing.

Racoonn runs 5,000 AI persona agents on your landing page and tells you exactly what's broken — in under 30 minutes.
