Security Scan

The skill's code and install/config scripts request and handle sensitive credentials (GITHUB_TOKEN, Feishu App ID/Secret), perform repository pushes and local file access, and recommend piping remote scripts — behavior that is not reflected in the declared metadata and is disproportionate to a simple content-creation description.

Purpose & Capability

The declared metadata lists no required env vars or credentials, but the shipped scripts and docs clearly require/ask for credentials: GITHUB_TOKEN (used by scripts/auto-publish.sh and scripts/auto-create-and-push.sh) and Feishu App ID/App Secret (collected by scripts/configure-bot.sh). For a content-creation skill, asking to store and use a GitHub personal access token and an app secret is not obviously proportional and is mismatched with the published 'required env vars: none' claim.

Instruction Scope

SKILL.md and agent configs instruct agents to read local files and open the browser. The note agent's config (agents/note-shrimp.json and related docs) explicitly enables file_access with paths (~/.openclaw/workspace-main/, ~/Documents/, ~/Downloads/) and 'open_browser' search method. The scripts also perform network actions (creating/pushing GitHub repos) and ask users to restart the Gateway — all of which extend well beyond purely generating text/images and grant broad local and network capabilities.

Install Mechanism

There is no formal install spec in registry metadata, but the README recommends executing a remote install via curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/.../install.sh | bash (pipe-to-shell). That pattern executes remote code without offline review and is high risk. The included install scripts themselves clone from GitHub and will write files, set permissions, and restart the gateway — legitimate for installation but requiring manual review before execution.

Credentials

Though metadata declared no required env vars, multiple files require/use sensitive values: scripts/auto-publish.sh, scripts/auto-create-and-push.sh, and scripts/auto-publish.sh require GITHUB_TOKEN; scripts/configure-bot.sh prompts for Feishu App ID and App Secret and writes them into generated JSON config files. The scripts also configure git credential.helper store (persisting credentials). These are sensitive credentials and their use/storage are not justified by the registry's declared requirements.

Persistence & Privilege

The skill does not set always:true, but installation/config scripts will write multiple config files to ~/.openclaw and ~/.openclaw/workspace-main, restart the OpenClaw Gateway, and can enable git credential storage. While these are typical installer behaviors, they grant persistent presence and may persist secrets (GITHUB_TOKEN via credential helper or App Secret in bot-config files). Users should be cautious because the skill can modify local OpenClaw configuration and store credentials on disk.

What to consider before installing

This package contains many install/config scripts that request and store sensitive credentials even though the registry metadata lists none. Before installing or running any scripts: 1) Do not run a curl | bash command without reviewing the script; download and inspect it first. 2) Inspect scripts/auto-publish.sh, scripts/auto-create-and-push.sh and scripts/configure-bot.sh yourself — they require GITHUB_TOKEN and Feishu App ID/App Secret and will write config files and call GitHub APIs. 3) Avoid adding long-lived tokens to shell rc files; prefer scoped, short-lived tokens and revoke them after use. 4) Be aware install will create files under ~/.openclaw, may restart the Gateway, and sets git credential.helper store (which can persist credentials locally). 5) If you need to test, run in an isolated VM/container and use minimal-scope test credentials. 6) If you expect a simple content-generation skill, consider this mismatch a red flag and request clarification from the publisher (why are repo-push and GitHub token handling necessary, where are secrets stored, and can file access be restricted?).
