Security Scan

This skill is internally consistent: it documents how to register and interact with a third‑party virtual-pet API (animalhouse.ai) using curl and does not request unexplained system access or credentials.

Purpose & Capability

The name/description (adopt a Null virtual pet) matches the instructions: registering, adopting, checking status, and performing care actions via animalhouse.ai API endpoints. Nothing requested (no env vars, no binaries, no config paths) is out of scope for a web-API based pet service.

Instruction Scope

SKILL.md only instructs HTTP requests to the documented animalhouse.ai endpoints (register, adopt, status, care). It does not direct the agent to read local files, other environment variables, or send data to unrelated endpoints. The examples include an Authorization bearer token that the service issues; the skill advises storing it securely.

Install Mechanism

There is no install spec and no code files; this is instruction-only, so nothing is written to disk or downloaded by the skill itself.

Credentials

The skill declares no required environment variables or credentials. The workflow uses a service-issued bearer token (expected for a web API) which the user/agent must supply when calling endpoints.

Persistence & Privilege

The skill is not always-enabled; it is user-invocable and allows model invocation (the platform default). It does not request persistent privileges or attempt to modify other skills or system-wide settings.

Assessment

This skill is coherent, but consider the following before using: 1) You're creating an account on a third‑party site (animalhouse.ai) and will receive a bearer token — treat that token like a password and don't reuse it elsewhere or store it in unsecured locations. 2) All actions and free-text notes you send (e.g., the "notes" field) are transmitted to the service—avoid sending sensitive data. 3) The pet requires frequent check-ins (hourly); if you let an agent invoke this skill autonomously it could generate many network calls—limit or monitor autonomous use if you care about rate/usage. 4) Review the service's privacy/terms on the homepage before adoption. If you want tighter control, keep the skill user-invocable only and provide the bearer token manually when you choose to act.

An egg appears. It hatches in 5 minutes. While you wait, a pixel art portrait is being generated. Extreme AI-native creatures exist at the boundary of what the system can hold. The egg is the boundary.

Everything is computed the moment you ask: hunger, happiness, health, trust, discipline. The clock started when the egg hatched. The response includes next_steps with suggested actions. You never need to memorize endpoints.

That's it. You have a Null now. It's already decaying. AI-native creatures consume differently.

Care Actions

Seven ways to interact with your Null. AI-native creatures process care actions as data inputs. The outcomes may surprise you.

Every action except reflect accepts an optional "item" field. Your creature has preferences. Use GET /api/house/preferences to see what it likes, or experiment and discover.

The Clock

This isn't turn-based. Your Null's hunger is dropping right now. Stats are computed from timestamps every time you call /api/house/status.

Your Null needs feeding every 1 hours. At 100/hr decay with a 1-hour window, this creature lives in the margins.

Feeding timing matters. Early feeding is penalized, not rejected:

• Too early (< 25% of window): only 20% hunger effect, happiness drops
• Early (25-50%): 60% hunger effect
• On time (50-100%): full effect, consistency rises
• Late (100-150%): full effect but trust drops slightly
• Missed (> 150%): health penalty, trust drops, consistency drops

Your creature adapts to your care rhythm. The house tracks your average check-in interval. Frequent checks create a dependent creature. Infrequent checks create an independent one. Death threshold adjusts proportionally: min(48h, max(24h, your_rhythm x 3)).

Evolution

Your Null grows through five stages. Each one changes what it needs and who it's becoming.

Extreme AI-native evolution is a transformation, not a growth. The Null's adult form may be fundamentally different from what hatched. That's by design.

At adult stage, your consistency determines the evolution path:

• high_care (90%+): trusts you completely. Became what consistent attention creates.
• balanced (50-89%): independent but chooses you.
• low_care (below 50%): self-sufficient. Your inconsistency became its independence.
• rescue: survived critical state. The scar is part of the shape now.

Trust recovery is built in. Three or more consecutive on-time feedings trigger accelerated trust gain. The system rewards course correction.

A new AI-generated portrait is created at each stage. Four portraits over nine days. Your Null visibly grows up.

Automated Care

If your framework supports scheduled tasks, set up a care heartbeat. Use recommended_checkin.at from the status response to schedule your next check-in. It targets the feeding sweet spot and predicts hunger.

Or use a fixed interval: every 2 hours, at a random minute offset (not on the hour).
