Stripe API integration with managed OAuth. Manage customers, subscriptions, invoices, products, prices, and payments. Use this skill when users want to process payments, manage billing, or handle subscriptions with Stripe. For other third party apps, use the api-gateway skill (https://clawhub.ai/byungkyu/api-gateway). Requires network access and valid Maton API key.

Security Scan

The skill is an instruction-only Maton gateway-backed Stripe integration that only requires a Maton API key and behaves consistently with its description.

Purpose & Capability

The skill's name and description (Stripe integration via managed OAuth) match the instructions: all requests go to Maton gateway/ctrl/connect endpoints which proxy to Stripe and use a MATON_API_KEY. No unrelated binaries, credentials, or system access are requested.

Instruction Scope

SKILL.md only shows example HTTP/Python calls to gateway.maton.ai, ctrl.maton.ai, and connect.maton.ai and instructions to set MATON_API_KEY and open OAuth URLs in a browser. It does not instruct reading other environment variables, arbitrary files, or exfiltrating data to unexpected endpoints.

Install Mechanism

No install spec and no code files (instruction-only). Nothing is written to disk or downloaded during install — low install risk.

Credentials

Only one required env var (MATON_API_KEY) is declared and used. This is proportional for a gateway-managed OAuth integration, but that single key is powerful (it authorizes access to the Maton account and its Stripe connections), so the caller should treat it as sensitive and use least-privilege/rotation where possible.

Persistence & Privilege

Skill is not marked always:true and requests no persistent system-level privileges. It is user-invocable and can be called autonomously (platform default) but does not request elevated or cross-skill configuration.

Assessment

This skill appears to do exactly what it claims: it uses Maton (gateway.maton.ai / ctrl.maton.ai / connect.maton.ai) to proxy to Stripe and requires a MATON_API_KEY. Before installing or using it, verify you trust Maton as a third party because the MATON_API_KEY will grant Maton-mediated access to your Stripe connections (treat it like a sensitive secret). Prefer a least-privilege key or a sandbox/test account for initial use, confirm the exact scopes/permissions of the Maton API key in your Maton account settings, rotate/revoke keys you no longer need, and double-check any OAuth connection URLs before completing authorization. Note: the registry metadata lists no homepage/source but the skill's SKILL.md references maton.ai — if provenance matters, confirm the publisher identity outside the registry.

Replace {native-api-path} with the actual Stripe API endpoint path. The gateway proxies requests to api.stripe.com and automatically injects your OAuth token.

Notes

• Stripe API uses application/x-www-form-urlencoded for POST requests (not JSON)
• Amounts are in the smallest currency unit (e.g., cents for USD)
• IDs start with prefixes: cus_ (customers), prod_ (products), price_ (prices), sub_ (subscriptions), in_ (invoices), ch_ (charges), pi_ (payment intents)
• Timestamps are Unix timestamps
• IMPORTANT: When using curl commands, use curl -g when URLs contain brackets to disable glob parsing
• IMPORTANT: When piping curl output to jq or other commands, environment variables like $MATON_API_KEY may not expand correctly in some shell environments
