French Tutor

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This French tutoring skill is coherent and only persists a local progress file for lesson personalization.

Before installing, know that the skill can create or update `french-tutor-progress.json` in the directory where you use it. That file may contain your French level, streak, vocabulary, weak areas, and recent lesson notes. Use it in a directory where that local history is acceptable, and delete the file if you no longer want the profile retained.

Finding
The skill explicitly reads and writes a persistent local JSON profile containing learning history, streaks, weak areas, and session history, but the specification does not require any user notice, consent, or disclosure about that storage. This creates a privacy issue because potentially sensitive behavioral data is retained across sessions without transparency, even though the file is local rather than exfiltrated.
