Realtor.com Property Data API - Listings, Sold Comps, Valuations, Agents

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a coherent Realtor.com data API skill, with the main consideration that searches, addresses, property URLs, and agent lookups are sent to Scavio and may consume paid credits.

Install this only if you are comfortable sending real estate searches, specific addresses or property URLs, and agent lookups to Scavio/Realtor.com under your API key. Check credit costs before loops or large searches, and avoid putting unnecessary personal details into queries.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Missing User Warnings

Finding

The skill explicitly supports sending user-supplied location queries, property URLs, and agent lookups to a third-party service, but it does not clearly warn users that their queries and any embedded personal data will be transmitted off-platform. While this is expected for an API integration, the lack of a clear privacy notice can expose sensitive user interests, addresses, or contact-related data to an external provider without informed consent.
