OpenClaw Browser Recover

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a narrowly scoped browser-recovery helper that checks OpenClaw gateway/browser status and gives user-directed recovery steps.

Install this if you want a concise runbook for fixing OpenClaw browser-control timeouts. Be aware it may ask the agent or user to inspect local ports and restart the OpenClaw gateway once, and its built-in user-facing wording is in Chinese unless the agent adapts it.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding
This markdown file contains core operational instructions and suggested user messages in Chinese, but does not indicate that the skill is intentionally Chinese-only or that the user can opt into another language. That creates a natural-language policy concern because it effectively forces a specific language for use of the skill.
