RPG Life XP Engine — Gamify Real Life

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a simple RPG-style task tracker that stores progress locally and shows no hidden code, network access, or destructive behavior.

Before installing, understand that the skill may keep a local character file with your name, progress, streaks, achievements, and completed-task history. Delete or reset data/character.json if you no longer want that history retained.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill explicitly instructs the agent to persist character state in a local JSON file, but it does not disclose this persistent storage behavior to the user or define any consent, retention, or deletion expectations. While the stored data appears limited to gameplay/progress information, undisclosed persistence can surprise users and may expose behavioral history, timestamps, and personal naming data across sessions.
