Data Analysis

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a simple data-analysis prompt skill with no executable code, persistence, or hidden install behavior, though users should avoid feeding it sensitive data unless they intend to.

Install only if you are comfortable using an AI helper for dataset analysis. Do not provide secrets, credentials, regulated records, private Google Sheets, or SQL connection details unless you have authorization and have minimized or redacted the data first.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The skill advertises support for CSV, JSON, Excel, Google Sheets, and SQL queries but provides no warning about sensitive, regulated, or credential-bearing data. This omission can lead users to submit confidential datasets, connection details, or personally identifiable information without understanding the privacy and handling risks, especially in automated reporting and insight-generation workflows.

Vague Triggers

Confidence

Finding

The listed triggers such as 'what trends do you see', 'write summary of [data]', and 'suggest improvements' are broad natural-language phrases that can overlap with ordinary conversation. In an agent environment, this increases the chance of unintended invocation or routing of unrelated user content into the skill, which can cause accidental processing of sensitive data or confusing skill activation behavior.
