Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk
This is a disclosed Google News integration using FlashData; it requires a paid API key and network calls but shows no hidden, destructive, or persistent behavior.
Install only if you are comfortable giving the skill a FlashData API key and spending FlashData Credits for user-directed searches. Keep the key in protected environment configuration, review the pinned npm package if your risk tolerance requires it, and avoid sending sensitive query text because requests go to FlashData and upstream providers.

Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.
## Connection and responses
For hosted MCP, connect `https://data.flashdata.dev/mcp` using Streamable HTTP and an `X-API-Key` header in your client's protected settings. Keep keys out of chat and committed files.
The CLI returns `{"ok":true,"tool":"google_news","result":...}`; read the data inside `result`. MCP clients expose the same data in the tool response. Check errors before processing results. For a free quote, call `get_pricing` with `{"source":"google_news","request_count":1}`; a quote does not run the data query.
The configuration hard-codes the language parameter to "en", which imposes a specific language choice in the skill data. Under the policy, forcing a language or locale without user opt-in is a natural-language policy concern unless it is clearly justified or optional.
No suspicious patterns detected.
