Universal Extractor

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill documents paid extraction services that send URLs or file contents to a service, with the main caution being privacy awareness for submitted content.

Install only if you are comfortable sending submitted URLs and encoded document or file contents to the extraction service and paying the listed x402 USDC fees. Do not submit secrets, internal-only documents, personal data, or regulated data unless you have confirmed authorization and the provider's data-handling terms.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill instructs users to send URLs and base64-encoded document or file contents to external micro-services, but it does not clearly warn that potentially sensitive data will leave the local agent context and be transmitted to third-party services. This can lead users to disclose confidential documents, internal URLs, or regulated data without informed consent, increasing privacy, compliance, and data-handling risk.
