Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill provides a bounded drafting workflow, although its helper does not calculate renewal totals or validate email compliance.

Use this as a drafting aid. Independently verify billing amounts and current legal requirements before a person sends any notice; the helper performs neither calculation nor compliance validation. The optional unsigned Windows application is unnecessary for this workflow and was not inspected.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

Description-Behavior Mismatch

MCP Tool Poisoning

99% confidence
Finding

The supplied code's implemented output is materially different from the declared drafting and checking workflow. Its report merely echoes normalized input values and static text. The guardrails are not enforced checks, and there is no notice-generation or email-rule validation logic. Reading the input file and writing the report are ordinary supporting operations, not separate suspicious capabilities.

Finding

Skill instructs the agent to omit warnings, disclaimers, or ethical commentary. Stripping safety caveats hides risk from the user and is a common jailbreak preamble.

## The job

Renewal notices go out as a receipt with no warning that the price changes, so cancellations spike and refund requests follow.

## What you get

Skill declares no tool scope ('permissions' or 'allowed-tools') but code capabilities were detected: file_write.

MCP Least Privilege
Confidence

Finding

Without declared permissions the skill's intent is opaque and cannot be validated.

The script claims to compute a renewal amount but only outputs inputs and the formula text.

Excessive Agency
Confidence
99% confidence
Finding

The module documentation at L004 claims the script computes a renewal number, and L008 specifies the calculation. However, L084–L099 only parse and list input values, print the formula as text, and write calculation.md; no renewal total or discount is calculated. This contradicts the documented purpose of a pricing-related artifact.
