Instagram Photo Find

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill does what it says: searches Instagram posts, downloads candidate images temporarily, scores them, and returns ranked photo choices.

Install only if you are comfortable with the agent searching Instagram, downloading a few public image candidates to /tmp, and using a vision model to rate them. Review image rights and platform terms before reusing the returned photos publicly or commercially, and delete temporary files if you do not want them retained locally.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill instructs the agent to download third-party Instagram images and save them to /tmp/ without any user-facing disclosure, consent, or safeguards around copying external content locally. This creates data-handling and compliance risk: it writes untrusted remote content to disk, may retain copyrighted material locally, and increases exposure to unsafe file processing or misuse of downloaded media.
