go-btse

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a clearly disclosed Go helper for BTSE API development, with financial-account risks called out and scoped to user-requested actions.

Install this only if you want a third-party, unofficial Go client for BTSE. Treat any production use as financial automation: keep API keys scoped and protected, prefer testnet first, and only allow code to place orders, transfer funds, withdraw, redeem, or accept quotes when you explicitly request that action.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Tool MisuseTool Parameter Abuse, Chaining Abuse, Unsafe Defaults
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Tool Parameter Abuse

High
Category
Tool Misuse
Confidence
80% confidence
Finding

Tool parameters are crafted to achieve unintended or unsafe behavior. Parameter abuse can bypass intended safety checks (e.g. shell=True, --force, dangerous glob patterns).

Finding

This markdown file instructs users to read BTSE_API_KEY and BTSE_API_SECRET in application code, which involves handling sensitive credentials. It documents authenticated network use but does not include any user-facing caution about protecting secrets, avoiding exposure in logs, or understanding that credentials will be sent to external BTSE services.
