Free Resume Reviewer

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a straightforward software engineering resume reviewer that reads a user-provided PDF locally and gives feedback, with no evidence of hidden persistence, exfiltration, or privilege abuse.

Before installing, understand that using this skill on a resume will expose the resume text to the agent session for analysis. Use it only with resumes you are comfortable having processed in that environment, and provide an explicit resume PDF path when you want it invoked.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The skill description is triggered by broad phrases like 'review,' 'analyze,' 'provide feedback on,' or 'evaluate a resume PDF' without stronger gating conditions. This can cause overbroad activation in loosely related conversations, increasing the chance the agent processes sensitive resume documents or follows the skill flow when the user did not clearly intend to invoke this specialized capability.
