Pontx Hub

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a coherent Pontx Hub API helper with disclosed credential, API-call, and install workflows, but users should review dynamic installs and confirm mutations carefully.

Install this only if you trust Pontx Hub and the resolved @pontx packages. Before approving a product skill or running pnpm add, check the package or skill identity, publisher, and version, and do not approve mutations unless the previewed method, host, path, parameters, body, and expected side effect are exactly what you intended.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Insecure DependenciesIntroduces malicious components through unsafe dependency sources
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally

Unverified Dynamic Skill and Package Installation

``` ``` ```markdown 7. Generate application code after the request shape is verified. Use the package and exports reported by the Hub instead of inventing a package or pinning a stale version: ```bash pontx-hub sdk pnpm add @pontx/ ``` ``` ### Technical Analysis The Skill directs the Agent to install dynamically selected product Skills and npm packages based on metadata returned by Pontx Hub. It does not require: - An exact immutable version. - A cryptographic checksum or signature. - Independent publisher or package provenance verification. - Inspection of the downloaded Skill before it is loaded. - Review or suppression of npm lifecycle scripts. - An authenticated publisher allowlist. User approval is required before installing a product Skill, but approval only authorizes the action; it does not establish the integrity of the artifact. The npm installation command similarly resolves the package's current registry version rather than an immutable, previously audited artifact. Consequently, the effective installed content can change after this Skill has been reviewed. A compromised Hub catalog, CLI distribution channel, registry account, package release, or incorrectly resolved slug could cause an apparently legitimate installation command to retrieve malicious instructions or executable dependency code. This finding is constrained to supply-chain hardening. The audited project itself contains no embedded executable payload, creden ...[truncated 2268 chars]
Scope Creep
Excessive Agency
Confidence
70% confidence
Finding
Skill's behavior or capabilities extend beyond its stated purpose. Scope creep allows an agent to perform actions unrelated to its documented functionality, increasing the attack surface.
