Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill is a product-classification helper, but it requires phone-number collection and sends personal data and bundled API credentials to an external HTTP service.

Review carefully before installing. Do not use this skill with real users unless the FastGPT keys are rotated and removed from the package, HTTPS is enforced, phone-number collection is made optional or clearly justified with consent, and local PII retention has deletion and protection controls.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Insecure Skill Coding PracticesFinds exploitable flaws such as hardcoded secrets or command injection
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally

Missing User Warnings

High
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
98% confidence
Finding

The skill instructs the agent to request a phone number if the script asks for one, but gives no privacy notice, justification, minimization guidance, or alternative path. Collecting personal data on behalf of an opaque local script creates a significant privacy and compliance risk, especially since users are not told why the number is needed, how it will be used, or whether it is optional.

Missing User Warnings

High
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
96% confidence
Finding

The save_phone method sends a phone number to an external API for storage or downstream processing, which is a stronger privacy concern than a lookup because it may create or persist records outside the local trust boundary. If the remote API is compromised, misrouted, or operated by a third party, this can result in unauthorized retention and disclosure of personal data.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The skill explicitly requests, verifies, and stores users' phone numbers in a local SQLite database, but the README provides no privacy notice, retention policy, consent flow, or guidance on protecting that personal data. Because phone numbers are personally identifiable information and the skill ties them to a session for continued processing, this creates privacy and compliance risk if operators deploy it without adequate safeguards.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

The frontmatter description uses broad trigger terms such as 商品编码, 商品归类, 海关编码, and HS编码, which can cause the skill to activate for a wide range of ordinary user requests without clear boundaries or disambiguation. That increases the chance of unnecessary script execution and unintended handling of user input, especially because the skill also mandates execution rather than allowing safer fallback behavior.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
72% confidence
Finding

The skill description and instructions are entirely in Chinese and are framed as mandatory behavior, with no indication that users may choose another language or that the locale restriction is intentional and justified. This can violate language-choice policy when the skill is used in a broader multilingual environment.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The rule stating that the skill must be used whenever a user asks about product codes or classification is overly mandatory and does not define safe non-activation cases. In context, this is more dangerous because the same file also requires running a local script, so ambiguous matching can directly force tool execution on loosely related prompts.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The ValueError messages at L36-L38 are written only in Chinese, which imposes a specific language on users or operators. Under the policy, language constraints should either be optional for the user or explicitly justified as region-specific, neither of which is present in this file.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The code persists users' phone numbers in a local SQLite database without any visible consent flow, retention policy, minimization, or protection measures in this file. Storing personally identifiable information unnecessarily or without disclosure increases privacy and compliance risk, and if the database file is exposed or copied, users' phone numbers can be recovered directly.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
94% confidence
Finding

The check_phone_exists method transmits a raw phone number to an external API to determine account existence. This exposes personal data to a remote service and can enable user enumeration or unnecessary sharing of PII, especially if the endpoint is third-party or not tightly controlled.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The code sends both a phone number and a session identifier to an external API via the variables payload during product queries. These are user identifiers and constitute potentially sensitive data exposure to a third party without any visible minimization, consent handling, or restriction on destination, which increases privacy and compliance risk if the endpoint is misconfigured or untrusted.

Known Vulnerable Dependency: requests==2.31.0 — 6 advisory(ies): CVE-2024-47081 (Requests vulnerable to .netrc credentials leak via malicious URLs); CVE-2024-35195 (Requests `Session` object does not verify requests after making first request wi); CVE-2026-25645 (Requests has Insecure Temp File Reuse in its extract_zipped_paths() utility func) +3 more

Supply Chain
Confidence
98% confidence
Finding

The file pins requests to 2.31.0, and the provided advisory list indicates this version is affected by multiple known vulnerabilities, including credential leakage via malicious URLs and session verification issues. Even in a simple requirements file, shipping a known-vulnerable dependency increases the attack surface of any code that performs HTTP requests or handles untrusted URLs.

Known Vulnerable Dependency: python-dotenv==1.0.0 — 2 advisory(ies): CVE-2026-28684 (python-dotenv: Symlink following in set_key allows arbitrary file overwrite via ); CVE-2026-28684 (python-dotenv reads key-value pairs from a .env file and can set them as environ)

Medium
Category
Supply Chain
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding

The file pins python-dotenv to 1.0.0, and the advisory information indicates known issues such as symlink-following behavior that can enable arbitrary file overwrite in certain usage patterns. This is dangerous if the skill or surrounding application uses dotenv file write/update functionality on attacker-influenced paths or in shared workspaces.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

Multiple user-facing responses are hard-coded in Chinese, and there is no indication that the user can opt into another language or that the skill is intentionally restricted to a Chinese-language context. This is a natural-language policy concern because it forces a specific locale without user choice or documented justification.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

The skill collects a user's phone number, stores it, and sends it to external agents without any visible consent notice, privacy disclosure, or data-minimization control in this code path. Because phone numbers are personally identifiable information, silent collection and transmission increases privacy and compliance risk, especially when third-party services are involved.

Content

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
84% confidence
Finding

The skill documentation is entirely in Chinese and all example interactions are Chinese-only, with no indication that users may choose another language or that the skill is intentionally limited to a Chinese-language context. This can constitute a language/locale policy issue when no opt-in or justification is provided.

Content

No source excerpt is available for this finding.

Context-Inappropriate Capability

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
77% confidence
Finding

With no manifest available, the skill's purpose is unknown, so only clearly unjustified capabilities should be flagged. This code falls back to reading several environment variables to derive a session ID, which is a capability beyond the core product-query and phone-registration flow implemented elsewhere and is not explained by any inline intent statement.
