SEO Automated Content Pipeline

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill is an SEO content automation workflow, but it tells the agent to auto-publish generated content to a CMS from a very broad trigger without a clear review or approval gate.

Install only if you are comfortable with an agent helping publish to a CMS. Before use, require draft-only output or an explicit approval step before any CMS write, use scoped CMS credentials, and manually review generated content for accuracy, brand fit, and spam risk.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Vague Triggers

Finding

The skill instructs the agent to execute the full pipeline whenever the user provides only a product name and target customer, which is a very common and low-friction trigger. That broad activation can cause high-impact actions such as web research, content generation, and downstream publishing workflows to run without explicit, step-specific user confirmation, increasing the chance of unintended automation.

Missing User Warnings

Finding

The skill includes automatic publishing to a CMS, which is a system-modifying action that can alter public website content, without a prominent warning or an explicit approval step. In this context, the danger is elevated because the same skill also automates content generation, making it possible to publish inaccurate, spammy, or brand-damaging material at scale with little friction.
