ValidEmail

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is coherent for ValidEmail use, but its setup instructions include running an unverified installer script downloaded from the internet.

Review the oo CLI installation path before installing. Prefer official verified installation instructions or checksum/signature validation, and only connect a ValidEmail account or run verify_email when you intend to use OOMOL and spend ValidEmail verification credits.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

Finding

The skill instructs users to install software via a remote script piped directly into a shell, which executes code fetched over the network without prior verification. If the install endpoint, transport, CDN, or publisher account is compromised, this becomes an immediate arbitrary code execution path on the user's machine.

Finding

The description says to use this skill for "ANY ValidEmail request" and "Whenever a task involves ValidEmail," which is a very broad activation condition for a markdown skill description. It does not define narrower trigger scope, exclusions, or negative examples, so ordinary mentions of ValidEmail-related tasks could invoke the skill unintentionally.
