Quant Data

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill coherently uses the OOMOL CLI to access Quant Data through a connected account, with a notable but disclosed installer safety caveat.

Before installing, be aware that first-time setup asks users to execute a remotely fetched installer for the oo CLI. Use the official install guide, inspect or verify installer artifacts where possible, and only connect the Quant Data account you intend this skill to access.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

External Script Fetching

Finding

The skill instructs users to install software by piping a remotely fetched script directly into a shell (curl ... | bash). This is dangerous because it executes unaudited remote content immediately; if the install endpoint, transport, or hosting account is compromised, arbitrary code runs on the user's machine with the user's privileges.

Finding

The description says to use this skill for 'ANY Quant Data request' and 'Whenever a task involves Quant Data, use this skill,' which is a very broad activation condition. It does not define scope boundaries, exclusions, or negative examples, so ordinary mentions of Quant Data could trigger the skill unnecessarily.
