FXMacroData

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is mostly a read-only FXMacroData helper, but its setup instructions include running remote installer scripts directly in a shell.

Review the CLI installation path before installing. Prefer using OOMOL's documented install page or verifying the installer before execution, and understand that the skill will use your OOMOL account and connected FXMacroData credentials to retrieve macro data.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

Finding

The skill instructs users to install software by piping a remotely fetched script directly into a shell, which creates a supply-chain and remote code execution risk. If the install server, transport, DNS, or script content is compromised, arbitrary commands would run immediately with the user's privileges.

Finding

The description says to use this skill for "ANY FXMacroData request" and "Whenever a task involves FXMacroData," which is a very broad activation condition for a markdown skill file. It does not provide narrower trigger examples, exclusions, or negative examples to clarify when the skill should not be invoked.
